From House Wife To Film Maker

Didn’t want to go to be without catching you up on what I did today.

Today I:
– Worked with John on our video for around 2 1/2 or so hours
– Read and read and read trying to figure out Word Press 2.8.4
– Loaded a printer onto my computer, it gave me more than a bit of trouble for some reason. I went and misplaced the CD that came with it so I had to look it up at the HP site. Thought it would all go so smoothly. Yeah right. But finally it loaded and we are running ever so nicely.
– I managed to squeeze a lunch in here and cleaned up right away. Listened to a book on tape while I lunched: Lisey by Stephen King.
– Then back to Word Press. Tried downloading but got totally lost. So I trashed it and decided to read some more before I tried again. Is it really this hard?? Wish I just had someone to sit next to me and point at everything and say do this, and now that, and this is what that does… At any rate I learned a few things and discovered a cool blogging site called Laughing Squid: it’s an online resource for art, culture & technology an independent web hosting company based in San Francisco.
-By 8 p.m. my brain was buzzing, snapping, popping, and cracking from screen and information overload and essentially getting no where.
– Went to Wal-mart, because that is where I get most everything.
– Went to Barnes and Noble and bought: Word Press for Dummies. Rather thick book. Why can’t these books ever been thin with lots of pictures? They could learn a thing or two from picture book formats! And why do computer books always ring up over the $25 range?????????? So hopefully my questions are about to be answered. After I plow through it of course. That could take a few days.
– Went to a movie with my oldest daughter: The Time Travelers Wife. I liked this movie and I cried.
– Came home and got on blogging sites and did this.

It’s now 3:00 a.m. and I really do have to go to bed I have that appointment with the Genius Bar in the morning.
