A powerful poem . . .

Published by TheresaJane at 12:07 am under Uncategorized

Ages ago, in what seems like another life time–I was 14 I think, I came across the following poem. It has stuck with me from that day till this. I scrawled it in a book that I have kept through the years and today seems appropriate to share it with you all.

The Clock of Life is wound
but once
And no one has the power
To tell just when the hands
will stop
At late or early hour.

Now is the only time you own
Live, love, toil with a will
Place no faith in tomorrow
For the hands may then be still

So much truth to that simple poem, gives one something to ponder . . . and the following from the Beatles speaks my heart today.

“The wild and windy night
that the rain washed away,
has left a pool of tears,
crying for the day.”
-The Beatles: The Long and Winding Road

It’s been a difficult day today, not due directly to my own intimate personal life but to something/someone else. There were other things that took place but they’ll have to wait till tomorrow. A new day. Till then . . .

Love ya,
Theresa
