Foggy fumbling and some moooovin' . . .
Well we did it. John2 and I moooooved from FatCow to GaterHost yesterday. (I seem to have a thing for animals first cows now gaters! I did consider MonsterHost in the search for a new place to rest our site, humm what would that have meant if I had gone with them . . . scary thought!) After a lot of reading and emailing the folks we got the template from it became obvious that our troubles came from “the ranch”. One thing I didn’t research specifically when I looked into their milk pail was load time. Honestly, when this all began I didn’t know to search such a thing. However as I have been looking for answers since we launched I found a slew of people in the last few months disgruntled with the same issue with FatCow. They moved to another host and bam terrific load time. Such is life. Like I said before, there will be mistakes, they’re inevitable, it’s just best to make them early because they always cost a lot more further down the road.
Dealt some with the new news of my life today. More painful bits to go through. But I’m continuing to move forward.
Annnndddd the books from the workshop are now complete. As of about an hour ago. Worked on the bloody things for hours today, had to quit to go to work and couldn’t wait to get home and get them done. It’s amazing they got done at all considering the fog and fatigue I’ve been pushing through. I can only imagine that had I been observed these last two days I would have provided a good bit of entertainment to the observer. All that detail work and the uncooperative computer, that’s the one I always do them on, created quite the challenge to stay on course. They took me longer than I ever would have imagined and my brain was seriously begging for us to bale, “Theresa, I’ve had it. Can’t take anymore. Stop. Fail. Don’t finish something for once in your life. Drop a ball.” For awhile there there was some serious arguing going on from me to my brain and I was a little concerned who was going to win. But I just couldn’t not (double negative, bad, bad, grammar, but it works here) get them done. Those kids are counting on them for Wednesday. Thank God I only had to do half of them! But they’re done and correctly and for that I’m thankful.
