Have a question, ask . . .

At heart I’m a teacher. Probably the 16 years of homeschooling and the writing workshops I conduct gave you a subtle clue. Possibly the way I slip things I’ve learned into my posts left you wondering and you’ve already been sitting around saying to yourself, “that Theresa Jane’s got to be a teacher type,” and if you have you’d be right! I love to assist anyone, children to adults “get something” if I’m able. Once I fully distill information I have a knack of condensing it and helping others “see the light.” To me it’s fun and rewarding to watch understanding streak across someones face.

All that said, I want to open the door to you and say, “I’m here to help in any way I can.” If you see me learning about something that you need to learn, leave a comment and ask, if you want to know why I chose or did something, leave a comment and ask, or you’re a needy parent and you think to yourself, “Wow this chick’s had eight kids she must know something about teeny tiny ones, or toddlers, or teenagers,” leave a comment and ask! I’m here to help if I can. So to make this really, really simple: if you want to ask me something, ASK! The only thing I ask is that you keep the questions clean and decent. All clean and decent questions will be responded to in any way I can. All others will be deleted outta here :)

Today, Caleb was printing, printing, printing, children theme word finds off the internet to make a book for himself. Well, sometimes the puzzles would print and sometimes they wouldn’t. Puzzling. There wasn’t any paper jam, the cords were securely attached, turning it off, turning it on, plugging, unpluging, all rendered the problem unfixed. FINALLY. A box popped up and we learned something new. The slot you put a USB cord into matters. Problem solved.

Then during the adventure of discovering why we weren’t printing, without thinking I tipped my computer way forward to see the back and SNAP! The flash drive attached to the front flew across the room. UGH. I rushed over to it’s aid and discovered that I bent that sucker right over. With the touch of Clara Barton I gingerly bent the tip back. It didn’t break. I seriously think it was because I didn’t breath at all while I performed this first aid. Then gingerly I slid it back into the computer. and PHEW. I could grab those files. So transferring, transferring to the hard drive when suddenly there appeared an error. The second half of the files each had to be opened, then “saved as” onto the hard drive. Sadly, some files were beyond hope. Took the time to do a tiny bit of house cleaning with some files along the way and two hours later I was able to get most all files off and what I couldn’t really didn’t matter. This was a blessing!

Tweeted more today. I’m starting to get into the swing of this. Part of it is remembering. Wrote a new bio with 250 characters to sign onto Technorati to give my blog more visibility. What can I say, I’m a writer I want to be read. :) Looked around to find where to get free to use photos. This is confusing. Need me a camera.

Love ya,
Theresa Jane
