Found pics to use, family time, bills to pay . . .
Okay, the universe was listening because I stumbled onto a place to get pictures that clearly explained I can indeed use them without jumping through hoops and a thousand other confusing things or risking a copyright law suite threatening shame, humiliation, and lot’s of money. Here’s where I found them: right on the WordPress front screen way down at the bottom is a link. It pays to look around. The only bum is that they are mostly of “The Stars”, sports, news, and fashion but sprinkled among them I find usable shots. It might be tricky to get usable pics when for instant keying in “computers” resulted in a bunch of people as I clicked through more there were like 2-3 pages of Bill Gates. Oooookay, computer guy, and yeah BIG computer guy but defiantly not a picture of a computer. Here’s a pic I found:
When I saw this pic I immediately thought, that’s how I feel inside my brain as of last night. . . frozen stiff. And I fear my face may resemble his.
My noggin is jamming with surfing stuff from the last week plus. Loads of researching on how to do the network marketing thing for the Red Book and Cotton. I’ve gone down so many rabbit holes, around bends, talked to Cheshire cats, and looped back again that when I ran across the Mad Hatter’s tea party I had to sit down and join them. So today my surfin’ lurkin’ took a break and just checked emails, touched base with various sites, added something to the Red Book and Cotton web site, tweeted a little, and other pittily things plus was together with 6 of my kids today due to the holiday and during the afternoon what evolved was the best hour and half. It all started with John2′s hair cut, he wanted opinions. So he swung over to his father’s house where we were migrating to have us check it out. It was sort of military with a little more zip. Blessing thought it was sort of rough and sexy. Sarah thought it suited him. Daniel, with a completely perplexed look, wanted to know how it was different than what he normally gets. This sent a ripple of laughter around the room. And, with a shrug he said, “What? It’s the same.” Then it went from there. FUN! I love it when there’s warm spontaneous family time. Sarah said it was a family reunion! I agree.
After work tonight I actually opened some bills, and awkkk, overcharge on an account set up on a monthly draft. Yeah, well surprise! The draft was only for a year and the year ran out. This brain forgot, so $39.00. Wellllll, no way. Where’s that 800 number?? Okay, this has to be the best line I’ve ever heard: “Ah, yes I see it here, a $39.00 charge to this account. We’re sure that you agree that it’s a valid charge?” PAUSE. This guy actually wants me to agree to the charge. Yeah RIGHT! Conversation. . . He’ll give me back 1/2. “1/2″, I said, “when I’ve never missed in 2 years . . . ” “Well, we can give you the full amount this time, but I’m sure that in the future you’ll take extra measure to not allow this to happen again. Right?” What shot through my mind was, Idiot! Followed by yeah sure dad. I’ll behave. What came outta my mouth was, “Well, since this will be on auto pay that won’t be an issue.” And will they notify me next time the year’s up?? Welll, they have no way of doing that. Course not: $39.00 per person times millions! GOD. I need to own a credit card company.
Off to read, Plug Your Book! Online Book Marketing for Authors. I hope this gives me the gold mine I was promised through Amazon reviews.
