Kids . . . and meet Grace . . .

Published by TheresaJane at 2:01 am under Uncategorized

Picked the kids up from extended day and we made a detour to Panara Bread-love their Country Loaf- and Academy- Dan wants an Air Soft gun and we “needed” to look at them, then to Public to get a spice cake mix for dinner–so fall, so yummy.

Now lest you have images of laughter and warmth let me help you out. It resembled a scene out of the movie Twister. With an ongoing dispute over who was the rightful owner of the $10 Dan found in his and Caleb’s room. This started as we exited the school door and continued. It took a pause when we got Grace from getting off the bus, I think because she took over the conversation– completely annoyed that she had been called into the office for her skirt being too short and Blessing had to take clothes over. I quote, “That was ridiculous. I’ve worn that dress a bunch of times and no ones ever said anything before. It’s not too short. I was so mad.” Well, truth be known her mother, me, was also ticked off. The bloody thing hangs in the middle of her knees, it’s not hiked up her tush. And might I add that this was the child that ran me ragged searching for school clothes that perfectly fit the dress code! Well, Scott, her father is going to take a picture of her in it and email it to school and inquire as to what the situation was exactly. LOL!! Sometimes the manager in him is a beautiful thing.

Well Grace, being in the front seat, complained till Panara missing the backseat bickering and me ignoring since she provided a nice diversion. At Panara Disgusted Dan wanted to walk to Academy (all these stores are in a strip mall) Well, do you think I discouraged him??? So Caleb is ticked and Grace who isn’t in the bathroom anymore or off eyeballing pastry’s wants to know what’s wrong, so Cal tells her that it isn’t fair that Dan has his $10 that he hide and forgot about. Well, glorious day in the morning. Grace starts rattling off all this knowledge about when and where he hide it, how it had been left over from Christmas money last year… A word for word match to Caleb!!! Not that it went that smoothly with Dan, so speaker phone con call with Dad and Dad ended it. I just wish it had ended his attitude.

This is a perfect place to introduce Grace hot and sweaty at the rollerskating party. This pic may annoy her, but I think she’s cute:

Love ya,
