Introducing the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX1 . . .
In the last few days I have:
FRIDAY:
-worked on business 11-5, phone interviewed for nearly 3 hours, and you know what? Can’t remember what else I did. I know I was at the computer though! LOL
-Squeezed a birthday in for my son Ben who is now 18! Lord how did that happen? The following pic was as good as it is going to get. He’s been difficult about wanting his pic taken. He says he never turns out good in them. For instance:

So look hard this may be the last you see of him. It was hard to get this one:

-Went to work… for money, love money ![]()
-came home late 2 a.m. and blogged, went to bed.
SATURDAY:
-Shopped for a digital camera. Went to Best Buy for a couple specific ones and walked out with one I wouldn’t have found on my own. The kid/salesman really loved it, demoed it very well, Grace loved it, it grabbed my attention. So, I have it. The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX1. It gets good reviews and has been taking very nice pictures. It’s very, very slim, drops in my purse without a hitch, films in HD for the video, haven’t tried that yet. Still coughing on the price. Not sure if I’ll keep it. The picture of Ben was taken on it.
-Here’s another picture from the new/maybe I’ll keep it camera. It’s a piece of Dan’s art, a tile, he made in art class at school. He’s very proud of it. So am I!

-Here’s a picture Grace took of the lake/large pond that’s outside my apartment

-We got the camera yesterday late afternoon. Went to Walmart to hit the Red Box brought home Coraline, Tale of Desperaux, and Inkheart. We watched the first two the last didn’t get viewed because after Coraline we decided a nice Halloweeny follow up would be Monster House. I own that one. Watched Desperaux in the morning.
-Threw together a make-up meal. I do a lot of these. I pretty good at it really however I didn’t know if the kids were going to like it. It was browned ground beef with some salt and a light amount of Montreal Steak Seasoning, a heavy dose of colby/cheddar cheese, salsa, all poured onto one of those Pillsbury pizza crust things (never bought this before, so was a little hesitant) Crust folded over top, pressed around edges, slits slashed into top and bake till the dough is done. In my oven 9 min. Toss corn chips on side and viola, a meal. Verdict? They loved it! Phew. Because if not then I would be hearing, I’m hungry…
-Feel asleep for the last 1/4 of Monster House. Wasn’t alone, the others were getting close to crashing too. Woke. Blogged, wrote comments on blogs, Facebooked. Drop into bed with two children, one wiggly, at 3 a.m., slept till 8:45. Woke to Caleb who was up with Grace and Dan, making this sound: cacacacacacaca, (this is the sound one makes by forcing air out through a constricted throat, maybe you got that, sounds are my toughest thing as a writer) which turned to gagging. I was up and on my way thinking I needed to revive a choking victim a.k.a. my youngest son, to before I got to the door he’s laughing hysterically. About what? Beats me didn’t ask. I went to the bathroom, came out and slumped on the couch. After 8 kids the details typically don’t matter. It’s summed up by, “I don’t know.” And a shoulder shrug.
-Roused myself to full awake. Got on computer and worked. Grace wandered around taking pictures and learning loads about the new camera, which she LOVES and can’t even stand the idea I might return it. Here’s a couple things she created:
From this pic of Zach at their house on the computer, completely unwilling to be photoed, so he put up his hood:

This is what Grace added to this picture using the camera's features
Then she created this:

Apparently this camera comes with the ability to write on the picture. This is a snapshot from the Coraline movie.
-went to Walmart twice today. Bought a different camera, cheaper, to test run. The pictures were unbelievably noisy. Errggg. Digital cameras sure have a wide swing of quality. Returned it. That was trip two.
-Cut Caleb and Ben’s hair. Grace took more pictures.
-Returned home to work. Read up on a lot of different things of value. Started to create an important document for my business. Now, I’m blogging.
-Now going to bed. But first since Grace is the author of all our wonderful photos today how about a pic of her?

Grace watching Coraline. I got the camera from her for a quick minute. The twilight setting is on.
Love ya,
Theresa Jane
