Today, business, kids, business, working, my job, business…
Today, I started the day at school their ceromony for the kids that earned certificates. My Gracey was on the A,B honor roll! I have a pic but too sleepy to get the camera and do the upload and get into my blog. If I don’t forget I’ll do it tomorrow. Then I had lunch and spent a few hours with the adult child I’ve been sharing about. It was a great time and things are getting better and I can’t say how thankful I am. Then there was work that headed the day, spanned throughout the day through phone calls trying and then accomplishing getting John Solomon’s book off to the printer. One of the projects we’ve been working on is taking his book away from the publisher that had it and publishing it ourselves. Makes a ton more sense. Of course that meant a full re-do inside and out but it’s done and is off to the printers!! Then I’ve worked my job that pays me. Then home to work from 9:30 till now, 2 am. So this is a quick, catch ya up on my day post. Nothing fancy. Nothing literary. But it’s about to make you smile real quick…
I am baffled by the number of hits I’m getting here at my new site. I’ve dropped like a rock. My old site is getting triple the hits then I am here. This doesn’t make any sense. It’s nuts. So there’s this internal conversation going on between those two parts of me that co-exist in uneasy stability…
One side says, “You need to double post… here and back at our old home.
The other side says, “One of the reasons we came over here was to stop double posting on Blogger and WordPress.”
The nervous, jittery, twisting a tissue around her finger side says, “Then we need to go back to our old site.”
The calm side says, “Now we can’t do that, it’ll confuse people and they won’t know what side is up or down.”
The trembling side lowers her voice and says, “Then we need to double post.”
This side of me says, BLAH!
What is the deal??? Anyone know?? Got ideas??
And what ya think of the template? The one with the flowers. My son was doing something for me earlier and it seems without knowing he switched my template to the other one I debate about using. See I like this template and all, I just don’t LOVE it. I want to LOVE my template. But the time I’ve put in so far looking is beyond ridiculous. The other one has an animated woman on it sitting at a computer with papers around here and a tree and grass and such in the distance. More personable. But it doesn’t do certain things I wish it would. So I mutter away. Wondering. Oh, and I like that woman template a lot, but love? No because it doesn’t do something I wish it did.
You know what? I think I’m sleepy. I sound sleepy to myself as I type.

For here I’ll just add this –
For me it’s about the thoughts, the ideas, and the writing itself.
I don’t care if you post it on a blank screen that looks like a new Word document.
As shown by my previous misadventure, sometimes I don’t see very well anyhow.
I’ll admit to being a bit extreme about purity issues (part of my recovery process). I just posted a (gasp) photo on my blog for the first time, and I agonized over that as if I were a Jesuit deciding if it was ok with God to eat ice cream!
My wife calls that “majoring in the minors” (in other words, frozen while obsessing over minutiae).
I am still loving this template but I have to say you have me curios about the other. I think choosing a template and a mate are kind of the same thing. You might have to give in to not having the “perfect” fit and find something close and work with it until it is right for you. I am so excited that you and your daughter are mending your relationship. Great job Grace!! That is so cool that she made the honor roll. My hope for you is that you stay healthy. You run around and are so busy I worry about you. You really are conquering the world!
