Movies, taxes, business, friends, food, Monopoly, and more…
There’s dishes in the sink waiting for the “dish fairies” to show up. Been a couple days, no sign of them yet. Like the dishes it’s been a few days since I posted. And I have to believe you already have the “why” figured out…if you guessed I’ve been going on all cylinders you’d be right.
Here’s the summary:
Had a meeting on…I think it was on Thursday, or was it Friday, with my business partners.
I actually did write a post for Thrusday. But didn’t post it. Why? Well the info that’s in there I’m continuing to contemplate. It’s sort of an informative post and I’m not positive yet that I want to go forward with my idea. So that sits and waits.
Since I shared last I have been digging into a new web site we’re going to launch. Hopefully next week. I was at it alllllll day Friday. I think 12 hours. I needed a break so I went and saw the late show of, “Alice in Wonderland”. Probably should have waited to see it, I was so strung out from all the thinking, constructing, and wording of the web site and sitting at my desk I was a bit…well…I really needed another movie, like “Cop Out”. That would have matched my mood. Although I did enjoy “Alice” I think I lost something.
Saturday was nice, I worked some more on the site, then went to an interview to see about picking up some more work, then picked up Grace to go to the Dollar Theater to see that movie with the title that’s something like, “All About the Morgans”. Well, the place was packed to the brim. I’ve never seen it so full…our movie was sold out. So we decided to go to Yogurt Mountain instead. Neither of us have been and it’s been here for almost two months. My opinion? Yummy.
Then we went over to another theater to pick something since it was during the cheap-o matinee time, but the times didn’t sync with us. So, to the Red Box where we picked a couple movies and while conveniently at Walmart we went in for a few things and low and behold I ran into a couple friends I haven’t seen in ages. I love these guys. One’s sweet and then there’s Chris, loaded with the same wit and sarcasm I have. Boy can we get going. I laughed and joked and just let it roll. An hour later we finally said goodbye because, well, the vegetable section in Walmart isn’t our living room.
I left smiling feeling and refreshed…it’s been a long few weeks…
Then Grace and I came back to my place, popped in “Where the Wild Things Are” and started a new game of Monopoly.
Sunday, I started out my day working, Caleb came over to spend the day and then the night. Received a text from a friend I haven’t seen in ages and we’ve been trying to get together. The decision to drop work and meet her at Barnes and Nobel was simple. Thankfully Grace was here to babysit her brother. We visited for a few hours and I have to say it was so nice to just relax and enjoy catching up, and well, just relaxing.
Got home in time to eat, play some more Monopoly, and run off to a meeting with my business partners. We had a very productive two hour meeting then I was home again watched “2010″ and played a little Monopoly, but just with Caleb because we had taken Grace home so he could have his night alone with me. (It’s spring Break and their father’s breaking too)
Today, spent the morning getting my tax stuff together, making lunch for Zac, then off to my tax lady/friend. Swapped Caleb for Grace because, well Caleb thought it was going to be boring… A couple hours on taxes and a to do list to do when I got home, and we were on the road again. First Target for some food items for Zac’s/my kids dinner, then straight for their house. Dinner was made, eaten, cleaned, then home with Daniel, it’s his night, to do my “tax assignment”, which is now complete, and now blogging. Well, bed really…I’m done, and I’m ready.
Night, love ya,
Theresa Jane
-I’m thrilled to add, Zac’s appetite has returned. It began last Wednesday during his all day doctor appointments. Thank goodness I took three apples. He ate them all and was still “starving”. He’s been like that ever since. This is a good sign, because if you recall he hadn’t had an appetite in months and has mal-nutrition…a natural occurrence of renal failure.

WOW! I am happy you have taken some time for yourself. It is so great to have such good friends that can make you feel so happy. I think that is the best medicine, especially for someone as busy as you. Yea to Zach for wanting to eat more. He had a very drastic change in what he eats so it is understandable that he may not have wanted to eat as much as he used to. You have a long rough road ahead. Zach is so lucky to have a Mom fighting at his side. Just remember to take that time for yourself so you don’t burn out. You know I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Yes friends are a good thing. Getting to see them is even better. We all live fast lives and go in different directions that meeting in the middle can be hard. I have to say that the timing for these two meetings was perfect and well needed.
