The list of “Undones” . . .
Some of the simplest things in life get left undone. Others keep getting pushed back due to more urgent concerns. These are on “the list”. They get talked about. They’re supposed to be discussed and are on agendas even. But then the poor little things keep getting snipped off and left dangling.
So back onto a new “to do” list they go. Remaining undone.
That’s the issue with a web site we keep wanting to launch. That’s the issue with this little bit of information that I need to get faxed off to a company we have an account with. That’s the way it’s been for the light bulb I need to replace in my kitchen. The one that I mentioned a couple months ago that blew the very same night I finally replaced one that had needed replacing for about 2 months.
Then there’s those moments when you finally…finally got a small, yet important to you, thing done. Ah the rush of exhilaration. The overwhelming sense of releif that makes you question why on earth you just didn’t get the bloody little thing done ages ago…That’s what happened just a few minutes ago. I added a blog I read to my blog roll: Cathy at the Red Door. FINALLY. Do you have the slightest idea how many times I muttered that I needed to do that? You don’t want to know. Well, now it’s done and I feel tremendous about it. I also want you to consider giving her a look. Great blog. Great friend. Very skilled and talented lady whose finally finding the courage to push herself/her art out into the world a bit more after all these years. I applaud and support her. I’ve known her for 20 years but didn’t know until she began writing her blog what a tremendous writer she is in addition to her art skills. She writes very moving pieces. I personally think she should write more. But then, look at me…with my list of dangling undones
Now, if I could figure out how to post photos in my blog…

I have this terrible habit of letting trash (receipts, kleenex, soda cans) accumulate in the car. I do the same thing on the top of my dresser. Everything else is tidy. I never leave clothes or dishes out. These spare bits are not on “the list”. I guess I ought to put them on the list, so I’ll get rid of them!
Oh, and you’re right about Cathy’s blog. Thanks for telling me about her. I can see why you and Jennie and the others write. That I had so much to write about is still a BIG surprise to me. I mean, I just started doing it to kill time while waiting for licenses, and now it’s become a really fulfilling process.
LOL!
Hummm…lists for the spare bits…never thought of a list for them but maybe a good idea.

Isn’t it though?? It really forces me to consider where I am, what’s going on with me… what’s significant, what’s not… I work a lot out here.
Glad to see you too are finding it enriching.
